Every liturgical ministry serves the parish community that has gathered for worship, and among them are our ushers. Ushers assist in seating people in the church, taking up the collection, and generally seeing that good order is maintained before and during the liturgy. They are an integral part of our hospitality and in the forming of memorable impressions, especially of our first-time visitors. This task of hospitality is more than being sociable, but rather they are the embodiment of Jesus who welcomes us into His house of worship.
As of August 2022, ushers are most needed at the Saturday 5:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM, and Sunday 5:00 PM Masses. If you are able to commit to serving as an usher one of these times, or at any English Mass, please email the Liturgy Director to get started. To become an usher at one of the Spanish Masses, speak with the usher captain at your preferred Mass time to get started.
To sign up for training in English, please contact the Liturgy Director.
We do not currently have an upcoming usher training scheduled, but one will be scheduled if enough interest is shown.
