The Houston Food Bank supplies meat and other staples such as rice, dry beans, canned vegetables and fruit, peanut butter and cereal; however, the food pantry needs your help in stocking the following items which are not supplied by the Houston Food Bank.
Our next food drive will be May 21 & 22, 2022! Brown bags will be handed out after all Masses on May 14 & 15 for the food drive, and donations will be collected on the following weekend. If you can help with our food drives, please drop off items in the blue bins outside in front of the church on the designated weekend.
SVDP is a world-wide Catholic lay organization that addresses the two great commandments: love of God and love of neighbor. SVDP was founded in 1833.
SVDP mission statement: a network of friends, inspired by Gospel Values, growing in holiness and building a more just world through personal relationships and service to people in need.
As a reflection of the whole family of God, members of SVDP, who are known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group and economic level. Vincentians witness God’s love by embracing all works of charity and justice. SVDP collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served because, in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.
If you are called to become a Vincentian, please contact the Conference President, Floyd Trevino, at fatboytrvn@yahoo.com or (832) 656-3139.
