Here at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, we proclaim our mission:
Our parish is a diverse community that inspires holiness, faith and love for Jesus Christ. We do this through prayerful adoration and service so that we are formed into Intentional Sacramental Disciples.
St. Bartholomew (St. Bart’s) is the place where Christ makes us one with Him in the offering up of His Body and Blood to God our Father in the Mass. This offering is the source, center and summit of our faith and the most important part of our church.
If you have not already, we hope and pray that you can join us in this life as a Catholic. If you are a Catholic who has fallen away from the Church, we welcome you back! We offer the means for your return through the sacrament of confession. Confessions are offered multiple days each week. Check the website for confession times and the Sunday bulletin for specific information. You can also call for a confession appointment with any of our priests.
If you aren’t Catholic, we welcome you as well. If you are thinking about becoming a Catholic, we would love to assist you. The prospect of welcoming you into full union with the Church, receiving Jesus in communion with us in the Mass, fills us with joy. Give us a call to join our RCIA. We also offer confirmation, marriage, and anointing of the sick for those who are seriously ill.
Our parish is very devout. We participate in adoration of our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist every hour of the day, from Sunday 6pm until Saturday 12pm. Feel free to stop by the Mater Dei chapel where this perpetual adoration takes place. If you’ve never been to adoration, we encourage you to check it out. It’s a beautiful, quiet, and serene personal encounter with Jesus in his sacrament of mercy.
Our parish is also filled with devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary along with other devotions. We encourage you to join in these as well. Don’t worry if you don’t know the prayers. Our parishioners would love to assist you.
Receiving the abundance of God’s grace through sacraments, adoration, and devotion, we serve together by proclaiming the Gospel, following the example of our patron, Saint Bartholomew. He laid down his life to proclaim Christ to the world. We strive to do the same, keeping our eyes on the eternal salvation offered to us in the Holy Catholic Church.
Specifically, we focus on reaching out to the poor, the sick, and the marginalized. We pay close attention to our youth, from our newborns to our young adults. Because we are a large diverse community, we also strive every day to unify as a parish in this one vision.
We find great joy in doing God's work here on earth. For that reason, we grow in our sense of stewardship, using our gifts of service, prayer, and sacrificial giving to advance the mission of our parish. Here at St. Bart’s, the Catholic faith is not a spectator sport! So, we invite and encourage you to join us as we pray, work, and play together with great joy as intentional sacramental disciples.
If there is anything we can do to help you in your journey to grow closer to God, please do not hesitate to contact us at stbartsinfo@st-bart.org.
If there is a personal or family need that requires individual attention, know that our parish staff is always here to assist you. We pray that you may find warmth, welcome, and joy in our parish.
May the peace of Christ be upon you. May the Blessed Virgin Mary accompany you with her intercession. May the example of St. Bartholomew inspire you always.
