GABRIEL PROJECT
The Gabriel Project is a pro-life parish-based apostolate of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, offering assistance to women experiencing difficult circumstances during pregnancy. St. Bartholomew responds in concrete charity to the women in her midst who are pregnant and in need and gives them the strength to choose what is right. The parish invites any pregnant woman to seek all the help she needs from the parish and its associated services.
Gabriel Project volunteers act to provide the mom the care, spiritual, material and emotional support she needs throughout her pregnancy. Gabriel Angels volunteers walk in friendship with the woman throughout her pregnancy. Parishioners are quite willing to participate in a project they know is helping women in the community choose life.Maria Valdez is the Gabriel Project Coordinator at St. Bartholomew.

January is our local donation/drive month, when we ask for contributions all month to provide for the babies we serve throughout the year. We will have a crib in the narthex to collect donations after all the Masses.
October is pro-life month, and again we ask for donations throughout the month so we may continue to support the pregnant women and new mothers in our area who need assistance.
Especially during our two donation drive months, but even all year long, we need the following items:- Pack n' Plays playard - for the babies to sleep in
- Crib sheets and blankets — gently used or new
- Strollers/Carseat combo— new or gently used
- Socks, hats, bibs, burp cloths
- Plastic bottles
- Diapers — sizes newborn, #1, #2, #3, and #4
- Baby wipes
- Toiletries — baby wash, lotion, diaper cream, pacifiers
- New or gently used clothing — sizes 0 months to 2T
- Bumbo seats
- Car seats — new, in the manufacturer’s box, for 5 lb. babies
We cannot accept used car seats or toys. Checks can be made out to St. Bartholomew the Apostle Church with “Gabriel Project” in the memo.You may drop items off continually at the parish office.
