  - Your username is the first three letters of your child's first name with their full last name
    
    Hyphenated or two-word last names have been combined into one last name
    
    Families with two or more children whom share the same first three letters in their first names will have usernames that include the FULL first name with the full last name.

A couple of important updates to share:

1. We have created parent accounts where you can access the teacher's edition. This will be especially helpful for the 1st Grade families whom have had issues with incomplete information in their workbook.
- Visit https://admin.sophiainstitute.com/#/login
- Enter the email address you used to register your children
- Enter stbart20 as your password. You will be prompted to create a new password immediately.
- When you login with your new password, the workbook for your child's grade level will be listed on the left.
2. A new feature was added where we can hide units and lessons.
- You need only to complete the lessons that we have made visible.
- Do not be alarmed if you finished a lesson and cannot proceed any further. The next lesson may not be unlocked yet.

Please note that we have not unlocked new lessons at this time. We are working on troubleshooting some of the issues that parents have notified us for. Here are a few quick frequently asked questions that we have identified:

1. If you are having trouble logging in a Kindergarten student, please email dan@st-bart.org. There was an issue when the Kindergarten accounts were uploaded and your child's account may need to be reset.
2. There is no specific date to login or pace to work at. You are permitted to complete any unlocked lessons at your convenience.
3. Some first graders have had issues with assignments that say "listen to the story" but the story is not provided. We are contacting the publisher about this issue.
4. Some first graders also have lessons unlock once the unlocked lessons are completed. This seems to be a technical error where the locked lessons don't stay locked. If you think you are too far ahead, you probably are - but that's okay! Take a week off, you earned it :)
5. If a username and password are being denied and you followed the instructions, it is possible that the name was input incorrectly into the system or onto the registration form. Just email Dan to get it reset.

Please be in touch with any questions you have. We're all in this together, even the publisher (this is the first year they launched the digital edition of their workbooks)!
